Project Team Assignments

The course instructors will ultimately choose who is on each team. In making their selections, the instructors aim to keep team sizes to 3 students, with 2 students being the second choice when 3 is not possible. Additionally, students may request that certain other students are on their team.

How to Request Teammates (Optional)

A group of 2–3 students (no more, no less) may request to work together. All students in the group must confirm their support for the request.

Requesting teammates is optional. If you don't request anyone, the instructors will assign you to a team.

To submit a request, perform the following steps:

Step 1: One member of the group sends a request email as follows:

• To: Scott.Fleming@memphis.edu
• CC: All other members of the proposed group—all students must use their UofM email addresses
• Subject: "Project Teammate Request"
• Body: "I am requesting the following students be on the same project team:", then list all the students in the group, including the one sending the email.

Step 2: Each and every other member of the group must reply-all to the email with a message that says, "I confirm this request."

Warning! Only requests that follow the above instructions and for which all members of the group have replied will be considered.

Note that, for group requests of fewer than 3 students, the instructors may add additional students to the team to increase it to the desired size.
